OBITUARY:
Rachel Fuller Truesdell, wife of M.V. Truesdell, died at her home at Portland, Iowa, on Thursday, October 21, 1909 at the age of 66 years [1843].

Mrs. Truesdell had been in poor health for a number of years, a patient sufferer waiting for God in his own time to release her. About two weeks before her death she was taken much worse and her children were called to her bedside where all that loving children and friends could do was done but God had called and she was ready to go.

Mrs. Truesdell was married twice. By her first husband, Mr. Ole Everson she bore three children, two of whom are living, Mrs. Lewis Sheldon of Waterloo and Mrs. Henry Sheldon of Osage. In 1871 she was married to Mr. M.V. Truesdell. To this union three children were given all of whom are living, Alfred/Albert Truesdell of Portland, Mrs. Emma Chinn/Shinn of Mason City, and Mrs. Alice Andrew of Rochester, Minn. Besides her husband and children she leaves fifteen grandchildren.

The remains were brought to Osage Saturday and laid to rest in the Osage Cemetery, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. L.T. Foreman of the Baptist church.
