Flora Estelle "Bob" Clontz Russell, age 94 of Murdock Lane, Albemarle, NC, passed away on February 23, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Albemarle.
Born in Monroe NC, Union County, on March 27, 1915, Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, Jonah J. and Flora Benton Clontz, her spouse, Jesse Russell, and two children; Kay Johnson and Ronnie Russell.
She was a homemaker and seamstress with Stanly Garmet.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Mt. Creek Rd., Albemarle NC with the ministers Joe Helms, David Reynolds and Rommie Williams offciating.
Estelle is survived by her daughter - Joyce Parham and husband Tommy of Julian, NC, her sons - Johnson Russell and wife Kay of Chesterfield, SC, and Larry Russell and wife Mary of Southern Pines, NC, her son-in-law Howard (Pink) Johnson; her 10 grandchildren and her 20 great grandchildren; her sisters Odessa Rushing of Monroe, NC and Loyce Medlin of Albemarle, NC and brother Oren Clontz of Landcaster, SC.
