Mary Etta Faircloth Paul, 80, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Saint Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Private funeral services were held Saturday at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment followed at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
~~~Mrs. Paul was born October 15, 1928 in Barbour County, AL. Her parents were the late John Thomas Faircloth and Willie Renfroe Faircloth.
~~~She retired from Winn Dixie Grocery, Inc. She enjoyed NASCAR, especially the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. and his son, Dale Jr. She also knowing what was in the news, working crossword puzzles, and keeping up with the Alabama Crimson Tide. She was a Baptist by faith.
~~~Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loyce Paul, and several sisters and brothers.
~~~She is survived by three sons, Douglas Jerome Paul of Smiths Station, AL, John Robert Paul (Charlotte) of Phenix City, AL, and Dennis Keith Paul (Rose) of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Shelby Jean Starnes of Columbus, GA, Willie Lou Hovey of Louisville, AL, and Leona Riley of Clio, AL; one brother, Lester Faircloth and (Clara Mae) of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Delia Marie Torre (Nelson), Kellie Elaine Schroeder (Michael), Brandon Mark Paul (Lori), Jeffery Keith Paul, and Erica Lauren Robinson (Brian) Great grandchildren, Chandler Leann Paul, Paige Kirsten Torre, Mary Elaine Schroeder, Hunter Blake Paul, Chloeigh Grace Robinson, and Hampton Yates Robinson; much loving extended family.
