Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - Millie Ann Barnhart Huenefeldt - b: Mar 8 1877 - d: Sep 1, 1981 - Millie Ann Huenefeldt, oldest member of the Montrose community, died September 1, 1981 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home at the age of 104 years, five months and 24 days. She was born March 8, 1877 in Osage County, Mo., the daughter of Abraham and Ester Barnhart. She was united in marriage to Henry Huenefeldt February 13, 1895, and to this union twelve children were born. She and her family moved to the Montrose community in 1915 and lived in or near Montrose until failing health forced her to move to the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Appleton City in 1973. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior. She was the oldest member of the United Presbyterian and Methodist Church of Montrose. Millie Huenefeldt is survived by three sons and three daughters: Fred Huenefeldt and wife, Ruth, of Clinton; Charles Huenefeldt and wife, Jewell, of Montrose; John Huenefeldt of Montrose; Mary Singer of Montrose; Emma Huenefeldt of Butler and Rose Brasier of Clinton; also three daughters-in-law, Lena Marie Huenefeldt of Montrose, Lillian Huenefeldt of Clinton, and Audrey Huenefeldt of Raytown. There are 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, on August 6, 1934, and five sons, Henry, George, Luther, Eddie and Frank; one daughter, Lizzie Seaton; also sons-in-low, John Singer and Floyd Brasier, and a sister, Katie Singer. She was a loving, mother and grandmother and her greatest love was with her family. She enjoyed living on the farm and working in her garden and among her flowers. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 4, at the Eckhoff-Hill Funeral Home in Appleton City. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery.
