Dorothy Vivian Sabitino, 83, of Bourbonnais passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. Dorothy was born on Nov. 16, 1926 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of Thomas and Wilhelmina Riley. She married James R. Sabatino and after 43 years of marriage James passed away on July 25, 1990. Dorothy was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Tri-Ad, Heritage Village in Kankakee, City of Kankakee Seniors Aide and Provena St Mary's Senior Care, and was a member of CCRC in Chicago. She is survived by her three sons, James R. (Judy) Sabatino, of New Lenox, IL, Michael (Patsy) Sabatino of Mokena, IL, and Timothy A. (Lisa) Sabatino of Kankakee; five sisters, Sarah Jean Seban of Joliet, IL, Shirley (Ray) Kugel of Florida, Mary Ann Kraen of Florida, Diane (Bill) Girtman of Bourbonnais and Aletha (Dennis) Palazynski of Lemont; two brothers, Thomas (Joan) Riley of California and Harold Butch Richards of Texas; three grandchildren, T.J., Kathleen and Nate Sabatino; two stepgrandchildren, Mike and Brian Gallardo; one great- grandchild, Tyler Sabatino; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody, Brian Jr. and Gabrial Gallardo; and many nieces; and nephews. Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Home. Funeral Mass was Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee.
