Wife of Frank Lee Fillmon - married 12/06/1956

Virgie Mae Fillmon, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in a nursing home in Irving, TX after a long and courageous battle with osteoporosis and heart problems.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001, at North's Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Newton officiating. Burial will be at Fort Phantom Cemetery, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 242 Orange Street.
Virgie was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved and respected by her family and friends. She was born on April 25, 1914, in Nugent, Texas and attended school there. She moved to Abilene in 1933, where she was a lifelong member of Grace Methodist Church.
She married Frank L. Fillmon December 6, 1956. They made their home in Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1963, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. (Bob) Myatt, Jr.; one brother, Edwin Myatt; and two sisters, Winifred Erwin and Lee Etta Hampton.

Survivors include: one daughter, Ramona Huddleston of Irving; three grandchildren, Doug Huddleston of Euless, Mona Kay Huddleston of Irving and Gary Huddleston of Brady; two great- grandchildren, Mary Rae Huddleston of Austin and Megan Bailey Huddleston of Euless.
