Peggy Lou Ince Blackmon, 65, of Houston went to be with her Lord on February 22, 2010. She was born in Velasco, Texas to J.C. and Della Ince on October 23, 1944. She was a 1962 graduate of Galena Park High School and was a lifelong resident of the North Channel area. She worked for Jorgensen Steel for 28 years and then Energy Steel Products for the last 5 years of her life. She enjoyed flowers, plants, cooking, the beach, and her cats. Above all, she loved her grandchildren who brought joy into her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Della Ince and her brother, Fred Ince. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Blackmon Brown and husband Lee of Houston; son, Bryce Blackmon and wife Valerie of Humble; brother, John Ince; Jr. of Kingwood; sister, Joy Winkle of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Chase Brown, Corey Brown, Madalyn Blackmon, Garin Blackmon, and Caden Brown.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, February 26, 2010 at Sterling Wood Church, 4910 E. Sam Houston Pkwy. N. Houston, TX 77015 with Rev. Dale Jones officiating. Graveside services will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
