It was this timeframe that his records indicate he was paroled as a Prisoner of War (POW), apparently in a prisoner exchange.
His pension application from 1908 in Floyd County, Georgia indicates he was shot through the left arm at the elbow on 20 FEB 1864 at Sharpsburg.
He married Nancy Farmer in 1864 in Cherokee County, Georgia.
