Barent T. Anderson died suddenly at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at his home in Garden Valley, of heart disease, with which he has been more or less troubled the past winter. Until recently he has been an uncommonly strong, robust man. Mr. Anderson dropped suddenly while on the way from his house to the barn. He was immediately picked up and carried into the house, but was unconscious. He never regained consciousness and died a few minutes later.
He was between 50 and 52 yrs. of age and was a Native of Norway. He leaves three unmarried daughters, Lillie, Carrie and Sarah, aged respectively, 18, 16 and 14. Carrie is attending Rhodes business college in Boise. The other two daughters are at home. Mr. Anderson has been a resident of Garden Valley about thirty years. He was an honest, industrious citizen. He served two years as county commissioner of this county, being elected in 1892. His wife died several years ago.
