Mrs. Mainer died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 2, in Alvin. Born Oct. 24, 1919, in Trinity, she was the fourth of six children born to Jesse Thomas and Hettie Clegg Renfro. She attended Trinity public schools and the Piney Woods Business College in Lufkin. She was married to Roy Carter Mainer on Jan. 2, 1942.
A longtime resident of Pasadena, she was a charter member of Parkwood United Methodist Church and was retired from Pasadena General Hospital.
Mrs. Mainer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Thomas Daniel; three sisters, Tom Clegg Wood, Johnellen Parks and Hettie Sue Waring; and a brother, James Massey.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Jim and Patricia Mainer of Alvin and Michael and Melanie Mainer of Bay City; a brother, Jack Renfro of Pasadena; six grandchildren, James, Susan, Toni, Tracy, Michael and Matt; 12 great-grandchildren, Randy, Brent, Solange, Mason, Samantha, Jackson, Marshall, Caroline, Clayton, Rankin, Ragan and Pearl; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity directed the arrangements.
