WM DAVIS DEAD
Wm. Davis, residing on his farm in Renville county, just a few miles north of his city, and well-known here, passed away at six o'clock Monday morning. Death resulted from cancer of the stomach.
The funeral will be held from the Methodist church in this city, commencing at ten o'clock Friday morning, the local G. A. R., of which Mr. Davis as a member, acting as au escort.
Mr. Davis was a native of Illinois, was born in 1843, and at six years of age he was taken to Iowa. In 1859 he came to Minnesota. He lived on a farm in Rice county for some time and afterwards moved on to his farm in section 18, Beaver Falls, where he has since resided. He was married in 1866 to Miss Mahala Johnson, and they are the parents of four children, two boys and two girls. He was a volunteer in the U.S. army during the civil war.
