83, of Harwich died Jan. 24, 2009, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on Aug. 10, 1925, to John H. and Ellen Connolly. She married Roland Galarneau in 1958, and they lived in Fort Lauderdale for many years before retiring to Micco, Fla. He predeceased her in 2000. In 2003, Christine moved to Harwich and married Charles Kenney Jr.
Before retirement, she was a registered dietitian. She later worked at the Micco Public Library and also became a hospice volunteer.
She was predeceased by her daughter Jeannie in 1997. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charlie; her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Thomas Kolb of Merrimack, N.H.; grandchildren Matthew, Dominic, Monica, Teresa and Gregory; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family requests that memorial donations be made to the Harwich Fire Association, P.O. Box 23, Harwich Port, MA 02646, or to a library of one's choice.
There are no calling hours, but a funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in West Harwich. Interment will be at a later date in Florida National Cemetery. Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
