Frances Dawson Cheatham, 71, of 949 Westwood Court died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 1, 1920, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Emily Neikirk Dawson. A co-owner and operator of the Stockyards Restaurant for 22 years, she was a member of the Christian church. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634 and Perryville American Legion Post 301.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Cheatham; a brother, Robert F. Dawson of Danville; and two sisters, Ethel Becker and Nellie Lawson, both of Nicholasville.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home, Danville, by the Rev. Doug Lister. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County. Pallbearers will be Christopher and Michael Scott Lunsford, Leroy Lunsford Sr., Leroy Lunsford Jr. and Darrell and Timmy Lawson. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
