Funeral services for Henley Edward Ellison,82,Udall,Mo. were held Monday in the Mt Pleasant Church at Bakersfield with the Rev.Truman Miller officiating.
Mr. Ellison died Saturday at his home.He was born at Tazewell,Tenn., June 22,1892, the son of the late Will and Sarah Carroll Ellison.
He came to Udall community 58 years ago from the state of Tennessee. On May 16,1911, he was married to Lizzie Welch who died May 21,1933.On Dec 2,1934 he was married to Mary C, Perry.Mr.Ellison was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and had served for many years as a director of the Liner school district board.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Mary Ellison of the home;seven children and four step children, Zella Rhamy,Grelton,Ohio, Delia Odom,Owasso,Okla., Sherman Ellison,Sheridan Ellison and Anna Lee Ellison, all of Bakersfield, Ermal Dean, Belvidere,Ill., Mamie Kesner, ElijaH,Ed Ellison, Cherry Valley,Ill.,John Perry, Pottersville, Juanita Eslinger,Gainesville, and Junior Perry, Kalamazoo,Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren;8 step grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.Ella Lingar, Tazewell, Tenn.
Interment was in the family plot in Mt. Pleasant.
