Death Claims William Oller Sunday Night
Former Business Man and Truck Gardener Spent Entire Life Here

William A. Oller, 68, well known local resident, died at 8:05 o'clock Sunday night, in the St. Vincent hospital, where he had been a patient since December 15, following a stroke of paralysis. He had been in failing health the last two or three years.

Mr. Oller was born in Taylorville March 20, 1874, the son of the late Moses and Aca Parrill Oller., His entire life was spent here. For several years he engaged in the ice and coal business, later discontinuing this work to devote his entire time to truck gardening and fruit raising. He was married many years ago to Miss Minnie Hanauer, who preceded him in death December 15, 1918. Mr. Oller was united in Marriage to Mrs. Nettie Nolen on March 20, 1930. He was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife and three children; Clyde Oller, of Taylorville; Mrs. Lela Harness of Quincy, and Sergeant Floyd Oller of Camp Breckenridge, Ky. He also leaves two stepchildren, Private Roy Nolen of Fort Bragg, N.C.; Mrs. Pearl Huggins of this city; four brothers and three sisters; John and Wesley, both of Taylorville; Mose of Macksville, Kansas; Oral of Pawnee Rock, Kansas, Mrs. Albert Brewer of Great Bend, Kansas; Mrs. Lana Peden, Freedonia, Kansas and Mrs. Roscoe Moses of Lewis, Kansas. Surviving also are 14 grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Chesnut and Pearce funeral home, where it will remain until the hour of the service. Arrangements for the funeral are incomplete pending word from relatives at a distance. However, it is probable the rites will be held Wednesday.
