Twin Falls--Carl R. Gossett, 72, of Twin Falls, died Monday, Aug. 8, 1988, in Boise of an extended illness.
Born April 19, 1916, in Lewiston, MT, he served in the Army during World War II and Korea.
He married Bernadette Chambers on March 11, 1946, in Northern Ireland.
Surviving are his wife of Twin Falls; and son, 1st Li. Malachy Gossett, stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Hobie [Geri] Follis of Pocatello; one brother, Charles Gossett of Puyallup, WA; two sisters,Mrs. Gus [Doris] Johnson and Mrs. Chuck [Ann] Aldous, both of Yakima, WA. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Gossett, five brothers and one sister.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm today at White Mortuary in Twin Falls. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 pm Thursday at St. Edwards Catholic Church, with Father William Gould as celebrant and Father Perry Dods as concelebrant and homilist. Internment will follow at the Twin Oaks Cemetery, with military rites by the Idaho Army National Guard.
There will be no public viewing.
