She was born March 21, 1918, in Changewater NJ and was the daughter of the late Howard and Laura Andersen Castner.
She graduated from Hampton High School with high honors. She worked at High Bridge Commercial Dress Factory for over 30 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the I.L.G.W. Union.
Beryl enjoyed baking, reading, puzzling, pinochle, and spending time with her daughter.
She was a member of the Musconetcong Valley Presbyterian Church in Hampton NJ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harrison E. Shive whom she was married to for 57 years.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Anema of Washington NJ, seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her son Eliis, two brothers George Castner and Clarence Castner, a sister Ethel Castner, and a son-in-law Ralph R Anema.
