Edwin Gaines Whitehead, 57, of Rileyville died Sunday, Feb. 23, at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal, where he had been a patient two weeks.
He was born April 2, 1917 at Arlington and was a son of the late Norman and Grace Elizabeth Wells Whitehead.
On Dec. 16, 1939 he married the former Frances Mathews, who survives.
Surviving, besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Grace Ann Anderson and Mrs. Linda Frances Deavers, both of Rileyville; four brothers and one grandson.
