Smiley Happeings
The community was greatly shocked last Friday morning th hear of the death of Mrs.mJ. B. Anglin which occurred at her home at this place. She had only been sick a short while having contracted pneumonia a few days before. Her death was a great loss to this community.
She was a woman of kind and gentle disposition, a lovable character, and a devout Christian. She had been a consistent member of the Baptist church for a number of years and was always faithful to her Christian duties.
She leaves to morn her loss a heart broken husband and three little girls, besides a mother, two sisters, five brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The remains were interred in the Smiley cemetery Friday evening to await the morn of the resurrection. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. A. Pollard.

Joe Sturges who is stationed at at Camp Bowie came in last Saturday morning in response to the message that his sister Mrs. J. B. Anglin had passed away.
