Mrs. Nora Mae Hawks Baker Collins, 83, of Martin, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Martin Health Care.

Services were held at 1pm Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Cherry officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery. Chris Beasley, Adam Hall, Richard Baker, Jamie Baker, Hubert Baker and Steve Burpo served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Collins was born May 24, 1926, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Finis and Ruby Porter Hawks. She was the widow of Doyle Collins, a homemaker and member of God's Chapel Church.

Survivors include one son, Finis Baker of Martin; five daughters, Dorothy Baker and Melonie Presslur, both of Dyersburg, Charlotte Gallimore of Martin, Betty Baker of Newbern and Evelyn Hall of Trimble; one brother, J. B. Hawks of Phoenix; one sister, Elsie Baker of Phoenix; and 30 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sons, James Baker, Donald Baker, Charles Baker and Wayne Baker; one daughter, Bonnie Harper; and two brothers, Cecil Hawks and James Hawks.
