Edward C. Raasch, age 92 of Munster, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Doris; daughter: Sandra (Leon) Myers; son: Steven; three granddaughters: Theresa, Stephanie, and Katherine; and three great grandchildren: Amber and Andrew Johnson and Joseph Rasmussen.
He was preceded in death by his 13 brothers and sisters and his son, Douglas.
Funeral services for Mr. Raasch will be held on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:oo AM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 2505 Indiana Ave, Lansing with Rev. Paul Appold officiating. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday from 3 - 8 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing.
Mr. Raasch was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, a retired warehouseman from Rand McNally in Hammond, and he enjoyed woodworking. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
