She was married to William Mount at about age 16, to which union was born one child, Mrs. Emma Mount Holmes of Harrison, Arkansas.
The date of the death of Mr. Mount is not known, but some time after his death she was married to R.C. Griggs in 1866. To this union three children were born, two boys, Robert and Hamp, and one girl, Mrs. Jane Griggs Downum of Elm Springs.
She came to Arkansas in the sixties, first going to Conway County, but after a short while moved to Elm Springs and lived to the ripe old age of 84 years and 11 months. She leaves four children, twenty-nine grand-children, and twenty great-grandchildren, together with a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death.
She was identified with the Methodist Church at the age of fifteen, until nineteen years ago she became a member of the Church of Christ.
The funeral was conducted by Dr. O.C. Boone of Stephenville, Texas, at the Church of Christ where a host of friends assembled to pay their last respects to her mortal body.
