William Edward Blocker, Jr., age 64, left us to be with the Lord on September 21, 2006. He was born on August 28, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas. As a loving husband, dedicated father, and loyal friend, he put family and friends above all else. He had a long career in sheet metal construction and was never afraid of a hard day's work. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, coached his sons' T-ball teams, and volunteered with the Livestock Show & Rodeo since 1993. He loved God and country and honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He cherished life and was known for his loving smile and sparkling eyes. His memories will be with us forever. He is preceded in death by his father, William E. Blocker, Sr. He is survived by his mother Aliene S. Blocker; his loving wife Connie (Davenport); sons: Trey Blocker (wife Heather), Chase Blocker (and Trisha); daughter Jaylyn; nephew Dalen Gray (wife Jennifer), whom he loved like a son; siblings: Mary Cover (husband Rick), John Blocker (wife Kathy), James "Bogie" Blocker (wife Helen), Robert "Bobby" Blocker, Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson, June Whitney (husband Carter); and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, family and friends
