Bessie Goodwin Crowe, 68, died 2:14 p.m. Friday, August 14, 1987, at Deaconess Hospital.
She was born Feb. 10, 1919 in Henderson, KY, to the late Jones Willingham and Edna White Willingham.
She is survived by sons, Marvin Goodwin, Clinton Goodwin, James Goodwin, and John Goodwin, all of Mount Vernon; David Goodwin of Evansville, and Walter McRoy of Fairfield, CA; daughters Frances Walker of Jasonville, Mary Cooney of Mount Vernon, Julia Becker of Wadesville, Virginia Gahl and Amy Ewer, both of Coalmont; brothers Roscoe Willingham of Henderson and Eugene Willingham of Madisonville, KY; sisters Betty Hall of Evansville, Alice Rigdon of London, OH, Pauline Barnes of Sikston, MO, Kathleen Conley of Peru; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Tygart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Black's Cemetery.
The Rev. Paul E. Turner and the Rev. Dean Mitchell officiated. Ellen Mitchell was the organist and David Goldman was the soloist.
Pallbearers were Robert Green, Randy Burnett, David Goldman, Eddie Alvey, Wilfred Clark, Roger McCormick, James Kissinger, and Armenius Templeton.
