Helen E. Hettmansperger, 93, 157 E. Hill St., died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at the Wabash Skilled Care Center.
She was born on May 27, 1910, in Peru, to Charles and Mary (Dice) Mills. She married Claude Hettmansperger on May 10, 1930. He died in February 1979.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge, all of Wabash, and the Phythian Sisters.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. (Chloe) Hettmansperger, Wabash; a daughter, Wilma Dennis, Kokomo; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hettmansperger, Wabash; three grandchildren, Mrs. Mike (Rhonda) Beatty, Kokomo, Scott (Michelle) Hettmansperger, Michigantown, and Mark (Michelle) Hettmansperger, Toledo, Ohio; and seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Lerche, Jonathan Lerche and Allie Beatty, all of Kokomo, Hana Hettmansperger and Jacob Hettmansperger, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Cody Hettmansperger and Benton Hettmansperger, both of Michigantown. One son, two granddaughters, one brother and three sisters are deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home Eddingfield Chapel. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
