LEVAN - Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Thompson Mortensen Aagard, 70, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Levan Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Bishop LeGrande Mangelson.
Mrs. Aagard died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clifton Bosh, following an extended illness.
A daughter of John M. and Maria Jane Curtis Thompson, she was born May 3, 1882, in Salt Lake City. She moved with her family to Levan when she was 12 years old and had resided here since.
On Sept. 23, 1903, she was married to Lorenzo H. Mortensen at Levan, the marriage later being solemnized in the Manti Temple. Mr. Mortensen died in 1923. On April 15, 1933, she was married to O. S. Aagard.
For many years she had been active in the Relief Society.
