Rites Held for Miles W. Posey
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p. m. from the Missionary Baptist church in Healdton for Miles William Posey, 79, long-time resident of Carter county.
Posey died at his home in Healdton Wednesday night after a long illness. He moved to Healdton in 1912 from San Jose, Texas.
Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery with Rev. Neale of Dibble, Okla., officating with the Rev. Boardman of Healdton assisting.
Posey was a member of the Baptist church. Employees of the Skelly Oil company will act as pallbearers.
Survivors include five sons, Elmer and Horace of Healdton; Bill of Wilson; Olen of Oklahoma City, and Jess of Spiro; two daughters, Mrs. Oddie Pulse, Quinton, and Mrs. Opal Bowden, Boswell; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
