GENTER RITES SLATED TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Missouri Adline McCALL GENTER, resident of Perry since 1906, who died at her home Twelfth and Locust streets Friday from a short illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist church. Rev. Percy BECK, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery, south of Perry. Mrs. GENTER who was born in Platte county, Mo., February 07, 1856, and was married in Waldon, Mo., February 28, 1878, to Christopher Fredrick GENTER, who preceded her in death in 1922. Mrs. GENTER, with her husband, made the run at the opening of the Pottawatomie and Sac and Fox territory, settling on a farm, two miles northwest of McLoud, Oklahoma. They lived in McLoud, where Mrs. GENTER was an active church worker and community builder, until 1906, when they moved to Perry. She was an active member of the local Methodist church. Survivors include one brother, Morton "Dock" McCALL of Perry; two nieces, Mrs. Lillian B. EDWARDS of Bristow and Mrs. Estella HANSING of Twin Falls, Idaho, both of whom were reared by Mrs. GENTER, and a number of other nieces and nephews. The Davis funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
