ALDRICH, Audrey Olivia Short, 95, of Roanoke, passed away Wedneday, May 12, 1999, at South Roanoke Nursing Home.

Mrs. Aldrich was a longtime member of Belmont Christian Church and was preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Short and Roscoe D. Aldrich, and her son, James Buford Short.

Surviving are her sisters, Isabel Wilson, Willie Wiseman, both of Roanoke; her stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Kendrick of Rocky Mount; her daughter-in-law, Pauline O. Short of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Richard Short, Donna Sweeney, both of Roanoke, Gary Short of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her great-grandsons, Tony Sweeney of Roanoke, Cory Short of Melbourne, Fla.; her great-great-grandsons, Austin and Ethon Sweeney of Roanoke.

A graveside service will be held in Evergreen Burial Park Friday, May 14, 1999, 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Barnes officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
