Lowell M. Blatchley, 71, 134 Court St., died Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Syracuse Veterans Hospital. He is survived by a son, Bernard L. Blatchley, Saugus, Cal.; a sister, mrs. Leon (Gladys) Monell, Eden; four granddaughters, Misses Claudia and Bernadine Blatchley, Washington, D.C., Misses Nancy and Sharon Blatchley, Suagus; a grandson David Blatchley, Saugus; several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Lester Union church. The body was removed to the Hopler & Georgia Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St., where funeral and committal services will be held Wednesday at 3p.m. The Rev. John W. Crayton, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge will officiate. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lester, N.Y. at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home. Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
