Death of Clyde Notestine
January 8th, Clyde Notestine of Burdett died at Camp Funston of pneumonia following influenza. He went to Funston last July for training and has not been home since. He had been assigned to the 10th Division. For the past two years he has made his home on the farm of his grandfather, Goerge Notestine, at Burdett. Clyde was twenty-four year old last November. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Minnie Hayes of Charleston, Gray County, and his twin brother, Claude Notestine now in training at Funston.
