Philip was 20 years old, when he died from tuberculosis...he was the foster child of Professor Paulin and his wife of Pacific Union College in Angwin...Philip was a very studious person....

Philip's father, Hiram Lee Wright, died March 21, 1921..he and his siblings, except the baby sister, Barbara..were all put in foster homes, since their mother had no means to take care of her children...

His older brother, James Jefrey Wright bought Philip's headstone in 1965 and placed it on what he thought was Philip's grave, next to their father, Hiram Lee Wright...but, in the 1990's, a relative found from the plats of the cemetery that Philip was buried in the "pauper's cemetery" (St. Helena Public Cemetery)and that Philip's headstone is placed over his grandmother, Verlenia Suggs Wright's grave, next to her son, Hiram "Lee" Wright...
