Vaiden rites held for Mrs. Goss

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Tyler Goss, a lifelong resient of Attala & Carroll Counties were held at Vaiden Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, March 8.

Officiating ministers were Rev. Don Sampley & Rev. Wade. Mrs Goss was the widow of the late William Thomas Goss. She was the daughter of the late Nehemiah Wroten Tyler & Sereptia Locke Tyler. She was 86 & a member of the Methodist Church. Burial was in the Providence cemetery in Attala Co directed by Southern Funeral Home of Durant.

She is survived by 2 sons, Raymond Goss of Citrus Heights, Calif., & Owens Goss; 5 daughters, Mrs. Irma McGehee, Mrs. Irene MrGehee. & Mrs. Clyde McGehee all of Greenwood; Mrs. Kate Cross & Mrs. Louise Palmertree, both of Vaiden; 1 sister, Mrs. Hassle Goss of Vaiden; 12 grandchildren & a number of great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Troy Goss, Noel Goss, Michael Goss, Gary McGehee, Neil McGehee & Howard James.
