Mother of eight dead following long illness

Death Friday afternoon ended the suffering of Mrs. Harry Wwinscoe aged 41 years, mother of 8 small children. Her death occurred at 3:00 pm.
Mrs. Swinscoe was taken sick several months ago and was a patient in the Fort Collins hospital for more than a month, when her condition improved to such an extent that she was moved to her home five miles north of this city.
She is survived by her husband and eight small children of which five are boys and three girls. other relatives here are Edward Swinscoe, a cousin of this city and his family. the remains have been taken to the Balmer home Mortuary. Funeral announcements will appear later.

1945-Fort Collins
Harry Swinscoe, 68, retired farmer and resident of the Fort Collins area for 50 years, died at his home north of the city following a 6 week illness.
Born in Nottingham, England, Sept. 23, 1876, Mr. Swinscoe came to the US (with his cousin Ed Swinscoe) when he was 18 years old.
He married Emma Dale Dixon here in 1897. She died in 1921. He was a naturalized citizen of this country and a member of the Episcopal church.
Surviving are 4 sons, Charles of Hawthorne, CA, Gilbert and Woodrow of Route #2 and Dale with the Army in France; 2 daughters Mrs. Edna Conry of Route 2 and Mrs. Lucille Weathers of Greeley; 5 grandchildren and a cousin, Ed Swinscoe of this city.
A son, PFC. Edwin Swinscoe was killed in action in France last June 21. Another daughter, Mrs. Florence Redd died in 1943.
