A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, St. Wendel, for Catherine Skroch, who passed away Wednesday morning at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers praying at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are by Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home, Holdingford.
Catherine was born in Opole to Frank and Mary (Bieniek) Kostreba. She married Edmund Skroch on October 26, 1926, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Opole. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
Catherine is survived by her children, Clem (Janie) and Melvin (Phyllis), both of Rice, Emily (Stanley) Rudnicki, Avon, Delmar (Shirley), Holdingford, Claude (Darlene) and Sharon (Dennis) Yurczyk, both of St. Joseph; daughter-in-law, Cyrilla Skroch, Holdingford; 44 grandchildren, 140 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sally Kuklok, Holdingford, and Josephine Davidson, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; son, Clarence; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 16 siblings.
