Malcolm Stuart "Mac" Conner, 84, of Frankfort, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born Dec. 12, 1925 in Tell City to Harry Conner Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth Gatchel Conner. On Sept. 8, 1948, he married Janet A. Lineback in Lebanon, and she died on Nov. 5, 1988. He then married Janet B. Michael Smith on Dec. 27, 1991 in Tempe, Arizona and she survives.

Also surviving aree two daughters, Catherine Ann Bluemke (husband: Michael) of Frankfort and Lisa Jane Baxter (husband: Bill) of Monticello; a son, Samuel Conner (wife: Teri) of Frankfort; a stepson, Marc Aaron Smith (wife: Elizabeth) of West Orange, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Christie Calderwood (husband: Scott) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; a sister, Edna Spray (husband: Gilbert) of Frankfort; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Harry Lee Conner and a sister, June Elizabeth Miller.

He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II in the Pacific theater.
