Freeda Faye Bowman O'Dell, 65, of Snowville, Va., passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in the New River Valley Medical Center. Born April 10, 1944, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Cossie Lester Bowman and Larmie Elsie Pack Bowman. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Lester Bowman; and one sister, Haver Louise Lephew. She was employed at Hutchinson Sealing Company in Wytheville with over 18 years of service. Freeda was a Pulaski County school bus driver for a number of years in the Snowville area. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Phillip Elwood O'Dell, Snowville; daughter and sonin-law, Jennifer "Jenny" O'Dell Whitlow and William Ray Whitlow, Shiloh; one grandson, William Noah Whitlow; sisters and brothersin-law, Connie and Johnnie Dean, Greensboro, N.C., Ann and Dewey Dean, Greensboro, N.C., Marie Rorrer and Robert Graham, Pulaski; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 20, 2010, 2 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with Frank Clifton officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Snowville. The family will receive friends Friday February 19, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements for the family.
