Sarah Glover

Mrs. Sarah Irene Phillips Glover, age 87, died Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was born August 9, 1920 in Spartanburg, SC, the daughter of the late Clyde Victor Phillips and Jessie Tennyson Phillips and was the loving wife of John R. "Jack" Glover. Mrs. Glover was a homemaker and a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was the long-time Secretary/Treasurer of the Adult Bible Class and the 2005 Grace Presbyterian Church Senior Adult of the Year for Providence Presbytery.
Mrs. Glover is survived by her husband of over 70 years, John R. "Jack" Glover of the home, a son, Donald Ted Glover and his wife Gayle of Liberty Hill, a daughter, Anne Glover Hayes and her husband Roger of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Betty Phillips Lydia of Spartanburg and Shirley Phillips Southern of Hampton, Va, 5 grandchildren, Donna Glover Bowers and her husband Dennis, Phil Glover and his wife Amy, Glenn Hayes and his wife Karen, Sheri Hayes O'Quinn and her husband Steve, and Allison Hayes Scholtens and her husband Andrew, and 8 great-grandchildren, Lacy Bowers, Chandler Hayes, Mills Hayes, Jack Hayes, Sullivan Hayes, Katie O'Quinn, Gabe Glover, and Kailee Glover.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Glover will be 2:00 pm, Monday afternoon, July 14, 2008 at Grace Presbyterian Church by Rev. Russ Wimmer with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The Family of Mrs. Glover will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Sunday evening, July 13, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, 1026 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720.
The Family will meet at the home of her daughter, Anne and Roger Hayes, 2656 Pineview Drive, Lancaster.
