Margie Olean Bullock passed away on January 26, 2015 in Buda, Texas. She was 94. Margie was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on November 20, 1920.

During her infancy, her family moved to Texas and Margie spent most of her childhood in the small Texas lower panhandle town of Idalou. During her senior year in high school, she moved with her father and brother to Ropesville,Texas where she graduated from high school. At the beginning of WWII, Margie moved to California, living at first in Long Beach and then settling in the Santa Clara Valley. During the war, she worked in the ship yards of Oakland along with her aunt and cousin. When the war ended, she continued to live in the Santa Clara Valley cities of Campbell and San Jose. She worked in the local canneries where she met her husband, Ross Barale. They married in July of 1946 and had two children, Edward and Susan. In the 1940s Margie was an integral part of starting public deaf education in San Jose. Along with other parents, she advocated for her son, Edward, to be educated close to home rather that in the residential state school for the deaf 50 miles away. For much of her adult life, Margie worked for JC Penney in San Jose, finally retiring after 30 years. During that time, her husband Ross passed away and she remained a widow for several years. In 1983. She reunited with her teenage sweetheart James Leonard Bullock. They married in April of that year and moved to Texas to begin their life together, eventually settling in Buda.

Margie was an active church member throughout her life. She taught Sunday school for many years and was one of the early members to help start the Campbell, California Church of Christ. At Campbell, she regularly welcomed the youth of the church into her home where they would hold devotionals and singings. After settling in Buda, she became a faithful member of the Buda/ Kyle Church of Christ where she gave and received great love. Margie is survived by her son Edward Barale and his wife Glenda; her daughter Susan Tiffee and her husband Johnny; grandson Sean Tiffee and his wife Sylvia Arriaga; Grandson Matthew Tiffee and two great granddaughters Alexis and Brianna Kulik.

The Family would like to thank the members of the Buda/Kyle Church of Christ, the neighbors of Village Lane and the staff of Bluebonnet Palliative Care for all of the love and kindness they gave to Margie.
