Chauncy Pearce, 96, formerly of Martinsville, died at noon Wednesday in Birchwood Care Center at Casey. He was born Nov 19, 1891, in Clark County to John Carey and Luellen Auld Pearce. his wife, Lucy Hills Pearce, died May 21, 1963. Survivors include four daughters, Maxine Henley and Freda Fasig of Martinsville, Marjorie Atkins of Findlay, Ohio, and Wilma Jean Kelley of Tiffin, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of Friendship Church. Burial is in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
