THE LAMPASAS LEADER
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1899

D. W. Hamilton, who has been sick with consumption for some time, died at his home in this city Saturday morning. The immediate cause of his death was heart failure. He had been confined to his bed for some weeks, and his family had hopes of his recovery as long as there was life, but the end was nearer than they dreamed. His remains were consigned to the earth Monday morning, interment in the city cemetery. Mr. Hamilton had been a citizen of this immediate section for some twenty years, and his friends were numbered by the score. He leaves a family, wife and children, to whom the Leader tenders its sincere sympathy.
