Funeral services for a former rural Superior resident, Edward Barnett Baker, 91, of Coon Rapids, who died Nov. 26, 1977, at the Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson, Ia., were Nov. 29 at the United Methodist Church, Coon Rapids, with burial at the Coon Rapids Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Residing in the Spirit Lake area are a brother, John Baker and a niece, Mrs. Thelma Froendt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, in 1968.

He had lived most of his life in the Coon Rapids area and had been a salesman for the Pioneer Seed Corn Co. from 1936 until he retired in 1965.

ATTENDED FUNERAL- Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kelly, John Baker and Mrs. Myron Gugue went to Coon Rapids on Thuesday to attend the funeral of Ed Baker. He was John Baker's brother, and a former resident of Superior.
