Emmett Perry, 46, of Park Forest, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday in the Illinois Central Hospital, Chicago.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Brintlinger's Funeral Home.
Mr. Perry was born in Macon County, a son of Roy and Della Jinks Perry.

He worked in the special service department for the Illinois Central Railroad Co. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Illinois Police Association. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

He married Deletta Belton in Decatur in June, 1946.

Surviving are his wife; father, Roy Perry of Decatur; sons, Darrell of Freeport and Michael at home; daughter, Sharon, at home; brother, Roy Eugene of Decatur; sisters, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Jones, Mrs. Ethelene Phillips and Mrs. Eva Baum, all of Decatur, and Mrs. James (Edna) Dickmeier of Mount Zion and two grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.
