Mr. Jinks was born in Decatur, a son of Charles G. and Vernada Ellis Jinks. He lived in Decatur all his life and was a press cleaner for Archer Daniels Midland. He was graduated from Lakeview High School.
Surviving are his father; brother Charles E. His mother preceded him in death.
