Mrs. Mary E. Smith was born near Chapman, November 4, 1873 and was 33 years of age at the time of her death which occurred November 8, 1906 at her home in this city. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Church November 9 at 10 o'clock, Rev. Father O'Begley officiating.
Besides a husband two small children she leaves a mother, three sisters and four brothers to mourn her bereavement. Ever kind and gentle she endeared herself to all who knew her, and her best friends are those who knew her best. But her home life was where her great kindness and loving disposition was known, and her dear ones who are left indeed miss her loving care. She bore her long illness patiently, all though suffering greatly, was ever cheerful and kind to those about her and resigned to the will of God who doeth all things for the best. May her soul rest in peace and may we meet her in Heaven where there will be no more partings.
