Vera L. Channell, a retired counselor, died Monday. She was 74.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Olinger's Englewood Chapel. Interment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Mrs. Channell was born Vera Murphree on Sept. 15, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo. She married Howard W. Channell on Sept. 1, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan.
She graduated from Kansas City College and worked as a degree counselor for Southern Methodist University. She was active in the White Rock Kiwaniannes Candlelighters Dance Club, American Field Service, the Cub Scouts and her church.
She is survived by three daughters; two sons; two brothers; a sister; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
