August F. Elligsen, 83 died wednesday morning at 3 in the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Heinecke, 1306 Jefferson with whom he resided.
Mr. Elligsen was born in Hanover, Germany July 16, 1869, and came here to live when he was 16 years old. His parents were Fred and Louise Schutte Elligsen.
He was a foreman at the Comstock-Castle Stove Company Plant for many years, retiring 13 years ago.
Mr. Elligsen was married in Quincy Oct. 8 1896 to Sophia L. Montag. She died on Nov 10, 1939.
He was a member of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul McCabe, Mre. Eugene Heinecke and Mrs. Frank Hutmacher; two sons Albert and Arthur all of quincy; nine grandchildren; five great-grand-children, and nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two children, a brother and sister.

Funeral Services
funeral service for August F. Elligsen were hrld Friday afternoon at 2 at the Zehender funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. R.M. Schroedel Singing was by Mrs. Viola Suit, with mrs. Alvoid Colpitts at the organ, burial was at Greenmount Cemetery. Pall bearers were Edward, Walter and Albert Bentrup, ernst Montag and Carl and Julius Kratzer.
