Obituary of Louise sophia Elligsen as it appeared in the Quincy Herald-Whig:
Mrs Louise Sophia Elligsen wife of August Elligsen, died in her home , 1306 Jefferson Street Friday morning at 5:45 o'clock, she had been ill for five years.
Mrs Elligsen was born in Melrose Twonship, February 2, 1874 and lived here all her life. She was a daughter of Henry and Catherine Dover Montag She was a member of Salem Evangelical Church and also of the Royal neighbors of America. Her marriage to August Elligsen took place October 8, 1896.
Surviving are the husband; three daughter, Mrs Paul McCabe, mrs Eugene Heinecke and Mrs Frank Hutmacher all of Quincy: sons, Ablber of Quincy and Arthur at home; three brothers(Montag), Henry of Lima, Adolph of Mendon and John of Quincy; a sister Mrs Catherine Behrensmeyer of Quincy and eight grandchildren.
