Homesteaded in Carter Canyon area, NE. Their gravestone said Nebraska Pioneers of 1880. Obit: The Cappers came to Gering valley in 1900, this having been their home from that time until the present. They resided on a farm until a few years ago when they came to town and established their home. Mr. Capper never sought a prominent place in public life, but held throughout the years the real regard of those who knew him. He was a fine example of good citizenship. Known as Uncle Cap.
