A native of Commerce, Mrs. Ayers was a daughter of the late William and Cora Duckett Crocker and was the widow of Lester Porter and Sterling Ayers. She was a textile worker for Harmony Grove Mills.
Burial will be in Grey Hill, Commerce.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mary Eden, North Carolina, and Barbara Ann Ayers, Atlanta; a son, L. Randall Porter, Commerce; three stepsons, Glenn Ayers, Gloyd Ayers and James Ayers, all of Commerce.
